If you’re not keeping your business listings accurate, you’re not only hurting yourself but you’re also helping your competition. Now more than ever people want to buy local and turn to the internet to find what businesses near them offer the products or services they’re looking for. Without updated and accurate information on your business listings, people who are potential customers will have no way of learning you can provide what they’re looking for. You can be certain that your competitors are taking advantage of that and making sure their own listings are complete and updated, diverting business away from you.

If you have no reviews to speak to your credibility and service, then chances are you won’t even be considered. Beyond putting your best foot forward for new customers, reviews also help improve your ranking on Google to get more eyes on your business listing. 

With an updated business listing, you’ll be making sure you are getting in front of potential customers when they are searching for you. Robust information and a healthy number of reviews will pull in customers and give them enough information to decide whether to visit your business or not. Without updated information on your listing, you’re not even giving yourself a chance to win the business.
